If at First You Don't Suceed...

One of our young bakers has recently been rewarded for his efforts in a national bakery competition.  Ross Cameron took 1st prize in the annual James Allan Memorial Competition held recently at the Scottish Association of Master Baker's training centre at Larbert.

Following last year's inaugural competition in which he was runner-up, Ross commented that he was looking forward to going one step further next year and winning the 1st prize.  Ross was as good as his word and duly scooped the first prize of £250 and the James Allan Shield.

To win the competition, Ross produced four sunflower seed rolls and four intricately decorated fondant fancies.  Ross not only won the event by a massive 20 points, but he also achieved the highest aggregate score by any entrant of 105.
