Bakery Apprentice

As an apprentice baker at Campbell’s Bakery, you will be working alongside 7th generation baker/owner Iain Campbell to achieve your Level 2 Baker qualification as well as the chance to go further.
The Role
- To learn by doing and assisting in all aspects of the preparation and production of breads, savouries, confectionery and fresh cakes in the bakery
- Learn all aspects of food hygiene and health and safety in food production
- The role will also involve learning to serve customers in the shop
Responsibilities
- Produce a wide range of baked goods to recipe specifications
- Use specialist bakery equipment
- Prepare and weighing ingredients
- Mix doughs and batter
- Ice cakes
- Clean equipment keep bakery clean and tidy
- Pack products when necessary
- Assist in shop when necessary

- Basic maths skills for scaling recipes
Hours
Full time, 40 hours per week
Typically 8am - 4:30pm with a half hour break, there is some flexibility
Monday - Friday
