Bakery Apprentice

As an apprentice baker at Campbell’s Bakery, you will be working alongside 7th generation baker/owner Iain Campbell to achieve your Level 2 Baker qualification as well as the chance to go further. 

The Role

  • To learn by doing and assisting in all aspects of the preparation and production of breads, savouries, confectionery and fresh cakes in the bakery
  • Learn all aspects of food hygiene and health and safety in food production
  • The role will also involve learning to serve customers in the shop


  • Produce a wide range of baked goods to recipe specifications
  • Use specialist bakery equipment
  • Prepare and weighing ingredients
  • Mix doughs and batter
  • Ice cakes
  • Clean equipment keep bakery clean and tidy
  • Pack products when necessary
  • Assist in shop when necessary

Full time, 40 hours per week

Typically 8am - 4:30pm with a half hour break, there is some flexibility

Monday - Friday
